I thought it halves the power.
it that is the best way to get the voltage above the 3.0 V again..

You can use MGM's Lipo cutoff. IMO, the best part of the MGM controller besides the smooth acceleration is the Lipo cutoff, since it cuts at 3.1v/cell, and can be a hard or soft cutoff.

The cutoff signal from the LiSafer is impossible to oversee! When the voltage drops below 3V per cell, under hard acceleration, it makes the truck stutter.
It's a rather harsh signal, if you ask me.

I think because it kicks in first under hard acceleration when the pack is near empty, it's pretty save to finish the lap going easy. After all, it measures the voltage under the most drop. So I hope it's fine to drive a few more yards slowly.
Yes, hard to not notice indeed, Leroy. Almost too harsh a stutter, I must admitt. I't doesent brake, but it goes to zero throttle for some pulses. Stutter might be a good word. I would guess 0.5sec pulses. And when you release the throttle, you can accelerate smooth again without it kicking in.
I hope anybody elses LiSafer does the same. I fear I use it on a pretty amp hungry setup. The voltage drop still seems to be pretty noticeable. Would love to use an Eagletree or something on this truck once.

Some time I should buy the LiSaver and hook it up to one of my cars with the Eagle Tree MicroPower set up with the RPM sensor to give a graphical view of how the device operates and to show how well the cutoff actually works (in terms of voltage).

hey luvsrc have you made a decision on wheels and tires yet if not i wanna throw my opinion in there i think a 40 series wheel and tire is just to big for a standard wheel base truck if i were you id go with a velocity standard wheel and ether crimefighter mts,boe-tie mts, or from panther the komodo dragon tires, thats my thought any way

His is about an inch longer than stock if its the Extreme bl chassis, but i like the smaller tires for racing as well, it takes some of the stress off the drive train
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
