I dont necessarily mean 'overpowered', but a motor can only go so fast/draw so many amps before bad things happen- to the esc & the trucks driveline. Could be more to do with things like timing, power curves & stuff like that- getting the motor to behave how its supposed to.... Its all just guesses though unless Castle release a proper statement.

The mamba max will do standing back flips in a 1/10th. I know, I caught mine upside down in my lap the first time I nailed it (before adjusting slipper).

My MGT will do a standing backflip if I angle it right on the slope of the driveway. It's actually pretty cool. LOL

I got an associated T4 that with a 3700 2s pack (really light) that across the street the yard slopes off the sidewalk and i can execute a backflip off that, to the slope. Its mamba 4600 powered and got a 23 tooth pinion
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

I have an e-maxx that will do standing backflips with an mm and a hacker b50 10xl on 12 nimh cells with 17/65 gearing. it still goes faster than stock to boot. runtimes are awsome.

As always, it's "coming soon". Everything else is speculation at this point.

Well, if you're gonna run no more than 14 cells/4s lipo and an LMT or Feigao motor, why not use the MM?

if ur talkin to me, the only reason i havent dont that is because i am somewhat new to this Bl market. i figure if the max rateing is 12 cells, why should i risk my investment and put more power to it. unless the warranty will cover those 2 extra cells or the 4 cell lipo. ...

It will handle 14 cells fine, just don't forget the ubec. If castle finds out, it will void the warranty. I run 5s in mine for a long time before going to quark. I'm not telling anyone to run 5s, just giving my experience

I was also planning on waiting for the MMM. But finally decided to go with the MM from everyone telling me to.... and I didn't regret it. It works great on 4s with a UBEC. I am not scared any more of possibly frying it. I think it will run strong for me for a long while.
