Small Problem

My E-Maxx has been going through a change here recently and I have run into a problem. I recently purchased a high torque servo and installed it on my FLM chassis but the servo saver becomes loose when i try to operate the steering. In other words the screw unscrews itself from the servo and detaches the servo saver. Any ideas on how to fix this? Any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated.

Try some lock tight on there (blue). Where exactly does it come off ?

You may consider upgrading to a ue or proline servo saver.
The hi torque servo will only wind the spring up faster in stocker.

proline or ue servo saver is the fix the unlimited engeenering one is nice but i find it to always be out of stock.

A proline or ue saver is good but i don't want to sleep on the couch. (My wife wouldn't approve) Anyway it acts like the only thing holding it on is the screw. The teeth on the saver isn't even touching the teeth on the servo. I was thinking maybe it needed a bushing or maybe my stock saver is worn out.
I don't think i'm allowed to tell you the brand because it is from another OL store. (The servo)

Well if you changed servos.
The spline count may not match up so your servo is smaller than the hole
in the servo saver. That would explain the problem.

As previously mentioned it's wise to upgrade to a UE or Proline servo saver.

A short term fix would be to go to your LHS and buy a heavy duty 1/8 scale servo saver.

I just went to the LHS and bought a new saver. I'll let you know how it works.

What saver did you get?

A dynamite blue sevo saver. The LHS owner said this is what he ran on his BL gorilla Maxx and he never had a problem.

Any servo-mounted saver that I have ever seen, while improving performance over the stock setup, still is inadequate for the big, heavy tired emaxxes - especially if you have decent motor power. I have some 1/8 ofna servo savers that are a noticeable improvement over the wimpy stock savers(which is wimpy to protect the wimpy stock servo!), but the Proline and UE type savers are the best answer (dual servos and hence dual servo savers would work as well, but would end up costing as much as a good servo saver to begin with).

Besides, get yourself a nice couch and sleeping on it isn't so bad(and the wives usually like nice furniture anyways, so you could probably get a nice, comfortable, sleep-worthy couch!) . Just get the couch first or she may catch on. :)

Mike, you are too funny! Thankfully for me, Mandie loves getting stuff in the mail for her truck. That's what I did, I just built her one too! No couch needed there! LOL

My LHS told me the pro-line saver was discontinued and he couldn't get one. I did see one OL but was worried if it broke I'd be back to square one.

A new couch is NOT an option. (I like my couch) But I've been eyeing a new E-Savage for her. She wants to get into the hobby also.
