Hippie; Yes, i did.

And to be honest.. onroad isn't my bag AT ALL..

you need proper tarmac for it, we've got a new paved road in front of the house, but apparently it's too slipperey for the 30 shore rear tires.. It left some nice black marks on the road though.. :)

Like i said, you need to take her to a special club to race her, but i don't feel like investing that time.

I like a brushless converted buggy much, much better. I like vehicles that continue their way when landing in 1" high grass..

Maybe you can sell it or trade it for something you like better.

Thats to bad onroad really is'nt my bag either but i think you will feel different if you get it on a real 1/8 scale track.

Yeah, i thought so too.. That and grip compound would offer great help.. But it really isn't my bag. It will be fun to put on the track, no doubt..

Too bad you sold your buggy... otherwise I would have tried to convince you to join me for a buggy race in Deutschland.

Edit: about your lack of grip... have you had a body on? I made the experience that those cars are like on rails! But you need the "black-groove" of a real track. If you have the chance, you have to go to one, really.

How about pouring some PEPSI on the rear wheels and check out how grippy it is going to be?

Just a thought, though.

No, sorry, I am not really big on taking pictures, plus I sent it back to Icare in Canada where I bought it, so they could see if it could be repaired. Two months later the word came back from Germany that it was unrepairable. It was the 18.149F and they offered me a discount on a replacement but they were only going to take $150 off, so I bought the Quark. I had cogging problems at 4S on the Mamba, but they changed from happening everytime, to sometimes, when I changed the timing to its highest settings, go figure. They completely went away when I dropped the software back down to the 1.07 version using the Castlelink. I make about 5 passes before I bring it in, because I don't like to let the heat build up. Let her cool down and go out for another session. The Castle hasn't even thermaled yet. I am patiently waiting for the Monster Max to come out, to better handle the load. Yes it has the 5mm plugs all the way around, and wet noodle everywhere else. No changes to the Mamba, even though I usually wet noodle the mains on that controller. I will try to get video today if the weather holds, if not, it will be the first dry day that comes.

By the way, check out where we run. This is a link to the Windows Live map thing. Be sure to hit the button to switch it to the birds eye view. This road is wide, smooth, has low interference and traffic, and best of all, is a 1/2 mile long.

Serum.........if you tire of your Serpent I'll buy it or trade you something for it. I do heli's, off-road, Airsoft, Astronomy, exotic cars, you name it, I probably do it for fun.

fyi.......I used to race 1/8 scale with one of the top drivers in the world (Ralph Burch). I had a lot of fun but I got out of it due to my dislike of gas power. A brushless setup like yours would get me back in the drivers stand.

I want that car and one like it.

Thanks Aerangis;

Maybe Mike will be offering a conversion for the 960, but he is very busy at this moment.

are you currently running a brushless setup? i remember you posting about a brushless revo, considering buying one?
