Cool! Now I won't have to wear out the dirt tires on my "hope to come soon" crt.5. :dft012:

You dont need adapters the Jaco tires use the pin like the RC10gt wheels just pull the hex adapters off and slide them on. Tower item # JACC2016 there 22 bucks a pr.:)

It fried the circut board in the servo I need to ck my ubec and make sure the voltage is under 6v I cut the wire on the ESC but left the pin it could have made contact? I pulled the pin on the ESC plug and the best servo I could find was the Hitec 5245mg so I picked up another one

after practicing with a few of these (nitro) at the track yesterday ,, me and my lil vendetta ST.. i would like to get one and do a conversion..

what are the list of things needed to convert one of these from nitro to electric..

i was actually surprised that my vendetta was able to keep up with the nitro version on the straights.. but the infield is where the lil 18th scale falls short..

Welcome to the forums!

People are still trying to figure out the CRT.5 conversion steps. Most people want to use a plastic spur, but there are fitment problems (diff length). So, some are using a steel pinion on the steel spur, which isn't the "best" way, and some are modding the chassis. The center diff is the biggest hurdle. After that, it's just a matter of making your run-of-the-mill motor mount and battery tray. The good news is that there are a couple people (Mike included) who are working on some custom plastic spurs.

thank you.. i hope to learn a lot about this car from you guys..

who all.. or where is the listing of all the conversions aswell as where to get motor mounts and such.. or is everyone doing something diffeerent

Mike (site owner) has several different mounts in his store depending on what vehicle you have, and he is creating more all the time.

He also does custom jobs on request, but those take understandably longer to do. He did one for me (Hyper 8) - I sent the whole buggy to him so he could test fit as he went along. Mike's stuff is top-notch; you won't be disappointed.

There is no comprehensive listing of all the conversions here, but if you dig around, I'm sure you'll find many of them.

If you're new to the brushless scene, you might want to check out Serum's information thread; it has a lot of useful information. And to do what-if scenarios for various gearing on a specific vehicle, you can try this page out.

ok cool.. well im not completely new.. i have been racing for about 2 years now.. and have been racing my brushless mini for almost a year.. racing against 10th scale cars.. this is the reason for me wanting to get the crt.. it is small and im sure i can race with mod trucks at my track,, since my mini although able to keep up with any mod vehicle on the straight , has a tough time keeping pace in the infield.. so i wanted something more competitive..

im currently using airplane motors for my vehicles.. great planes ammo 28-35-3900(3900kv) and the multiplex permax 400/4d (5200kv) i think they make these in 540 sizes and would be just awesome in this crt..

Unless you already have an ESC and motor in mind, most people are using the Mamba Max system. It's an "S" size 540 can, and the controller is good for 100A, up to 4s lipo (or 12 cells NiMH), has great programmability via PC, and is small. If you plan to use that ESC, but with a different motor, check back here first as the MM seems finnicky for certain motors. It runs 2 pole inrunner motors just fine though.

yeah i have been looking at them,, i already have a novak gtb 5.5 but im thinking with the gearing the 5.5 might not have the torque to turn the wheels like it should.. i had it geared at 18/87 in my 2wd truck i might just keep that esc and get a lower kv motor just dont know which.. 13.5 ,, 10.5,, 8.5,,7.5 all the choices to make..lol. what is ideal i know 13.5 is more like a good stock motor.. ,,, basically what final drives are needed.. what is the internal ratio of the vehicle

If you plan to use a Novak system in a CRT.5, I'd run the 5.5 or 6.5. Probably the 6.5, as its better suited to a heavier vehicle - the CRT.5, despite its small size, is actually heavier than the average 1/10 scale.
