Do I see a 4wd slash racing class starting up? I'd buy one if they did. Maybe the titan xl5 esc for spec racing? or 13.5.....???? Just an idea

This actually looks like a platform you could get some serious speed out of. If it's sub 300 they will sell the snot out of them. The center diff upgrade is a nice touch as well, although I think it should have come stock. It is supposed to be a racer after all.

Well after looking at it, I want one. The BFGs, the new body, and the new design sold me. The Velineon system is icing on the cake, as is the included battery, although I'll just use lipos.
Anyone hear about the price, for sure? If it is sub 300, that would be fantastic. I have a feeling it won't be though. If they wanted to sell a ton of them, that would be the way to go. Would put everyone else out of business! Or at least make them lower prices. SC racing should be about keeping it CHEAP.

Me too. I'd written off most TRX veh, liked the slash, but not quite good enough/better than my old rustler to push me to get one.
This could be very cool, assuming its not crazy priced like the SC8.

"Power up to the Mamba Monster (it drops right in) and 80mph+ is within your reach."
LOL
In all seriousness though it looks pretty neat. I'm waiting to see what pricepoint they'll start it at. Would be nice if they also eventually released an XL-5 version for those of us who don't want to pay a bunch for the VXL system that will be getting taken out anyway.

im thinking like linc.....
throw some power at it (for me it would be my 9l and 3s), some big 1/10th tires possibly badlands, moabs, or the stock WK's for serious mt action and then a t or e-maxx body and you have a hell of a play truck....

Well I was off the mark, but I think this is pretty cool and has potential. Like a lot of you guys have pointed out, light weight, 4wd with Revo diffs......I don't know about putting the MMM in it, but it did get me thinking about the soon to be released MM Pro.

I'm gonna throw this out there:
Sub $300? Fat chance. Look at the price of their brushless Mini's. They're already pushing $300. Maybe if they push it out as a Bind & Drive, but they can't hardly do that without some type of contract with horizon hobbies. Because it's electric, I think it will sell better than then slayer. But, there are already so many 2wd SC trucks popping up from all the companies bringing their own platform to the table that I think the 2wd SC classes will still be the largest at my local tracks. Besides, 2wd is cheap and fun. I'm still undecided on which one I wanna get: Slash is fat, SC10 is frail as, Strike is a maybe, and no reviews out for the Blitz because HPI has dragged their feet on the release date.
I'm so depressed that there is hardly anyone in Tulsa that runs 1/8 stuff.

I can see 1/10 guys who don't want too spend too much $$$ buying new lipos, charger, esc, and motor slapping on a 1/8 buggy body, wheels, and tires, and entering a 1/8 buggy race. The dimensions aren't a whole lot different other than the fact that it will ride higher.

We haven't zeroed in on the final price, but it'll be under $400 and in stores for early December. Three hundo might be doable for a brushed/AM radio/no battery combo, but Slash 4X4 is brushless, with a 2.4GHz radio and a high-quality 7-cell NiMH battery. Not cheap, but definitely a great value. Can't wait to get mine!
