In case anyone was wondering what "sycophants" refered too, here is the definition:

"A sycophant (from the Greek συκοφάντης sykophántēs) is a servile person who, acting in his or her own self interest, attempts to win favor by flattering one or more influential persons, with an undertone that these actions are executed at the cost of his or her own personal pride, principles, and peer respect. Such a manner is called obsequiousness"

I hope Patrick or someone with Castle will read this and respond.

I got my V2 MMM last week on Monday. I installed it in my buggy and it seems to run fine.

Last night I pulled the case apart to check things out inside and to vent the case where the caps are. I also wanted to Dremel the bottom of the case were the fan connector rubs against it. When I got her open I found the fan wire was cut almost in half. It was bare copper and very close to shorting out. It was jammed between the board and the case.

There is really no path for the wire to get through. I had to take the wires out of the connector and shrink wrap them and put them back in. I notched the case so the wire wouldn't get pinched anymore. But I'm sure you will get a few failures because of this.

I know some guys were running the fan from an external source. They are just running the fan wires through a hole in the case to the receiver. Which my still be an option for me. We'll see how it holds up with my mod.

After seeing the same thing on the V1, I hoped there would have been a remedy for this problem on the V2. I guess the remedy is in the above paragraph.

+1!! I am still waiting on getting my hands on a MMM, but a guy I was talking to mentioned the EXACT same issue. We were both hoping this was addressed on V2.

So, if Castle doesn't come up with something, can you post some pics, macr0w? Or anyone else that has addressed this issue? (BTW, I don't plan on running the fan from an external source.)

It depends on your point of view I suppose as to whether you deem it to be attempting to start flaming or merely expressing my disappointment at the never ending wait for a product.

Hopefully there won't be the same delays when the 2009 Camaro comes over here.

I'm just hoping looking at phatmonk's avatar that he doesn't get to the gas tank first!
