Finally got in a track run with my Hyper 9E. Unfortunately it was short as I had electronic issues. But, the track performance was quite impressive. The vehicle was planted around the track even when less than ideal tires, and changed direction faster than I was used to with my previous RC8 conversion that I felt was pretty good already. It jumped very true and level, and responded quite well to the power I had going through it. Also, I had no weird pitching issues even with the heavier PQ6000XP 4S battery pack.

All in all, I would highly recommend the vehicle. with a few simple mods, its one heck of a car.

good to hear you finally got to run it. I have a heavy pack (6s 4300mah) in mine and it doesn't seem to effect the balance while running. Probablly because all the weight is so close to the center of the car.

hope to have my tekin back this week so I can run it somemore.

Yeah, this car really has something going for it. Very impressive.

I may up the oil weight slightly as I used to the stock stuff which I believe is equivalent to about losi 25W or so. May try losi 30W around for alittle less chassis slap, but, the handling around the track was impressive.

It does however get dirty inside pretty quick. Mainly in the rear from what I could tell if you run a muddy track.

Mine currently has 35w losi in the front and 30w in the rear.

The buggy seems to like a thinner oil, currently using losi 32.5 front and 30 rear and it's really good.

Mine right now with the ofna stock stuff jumps alittle nose down. I'll probably give 32.5 and 30W and shot.

Diffs though feel great. Using the Hyper 9 setup on nitrohouse.

They really need to push the buggy, its a winner.

If someone comes up with some splash guards I'd get a Hyper 9e to replace my beat Losi 8e conversion.

I wonder if someone could do a lexan body that sort of wraps over the edges of the chassis. i don't think you could do mud guards as it is right now with some drilling. Bug the lexan body thing could work.

I would be happy with just a narrower body. I am very happy with the buggy but the dirt gets everywhere.

A narrow body with some splash guards would be great. I prefer to velcro my bodies down to the splash guards.

Has anybody seen the lexan piece on the bottom of the chassis they make for the associated B44? Something like that would work, not sure how long it would last.

It would be much too small. I tried to fit one on my RCM CRT.5 chassis and it was too small.

Maybe there is a way to attach the splash guards that Tekno uses on their conversions?
