You mean the Jammin SCRT10. The SC10 is the Ofna truck.

I played with mechanical brakes on both truggy and buggy for quite a while and in the long run didn't ever find any advantage on the track. Once you get used to tuning the motor brakes and adjust your driving style it is just as fast as the mechanical brakes IMO. There are guys that swear by them though so it really is a matter of opinion and what you like.

Unfortunately this kit does not allow for mechanical brakes. The provisions are not made in the motor mount so... Lotsa work to get that set up on this XT8 conversion kit.

If you are asking for my personal opinion... I tried it all and wound up with the simple and consistent esc/motor brakes.

When you race with a MMM2200kv in a truggy what brake setting do you use?

I haven't used the MMM for a long time and I have never run the 2200kv motor.

The way I tune my brakes is I start off with more than is needed. Then I dial out brakes until I can just lock up the wheels when hitting full brake at the end if the fastest straight. That's all the brake I need and it makes for a very controlable setup for me.

Once they get used to it, I think most people like ESC/Motor brakes much better than the old mechanical brakes.

Looks good. Dont get to hung up on the paint for the stock shell. Its pretty much lasts about 2 race days before it falls apart anyway. Thin and light for racing, but not very durable in my experience.
