I have no doubt that people will pay for it. However, I think it won't sell as well to folks with stock chassis E-Maxx's and E-Revos as it will to folks with buggies and truggies. With Mike being as busy as he is, he's likely going to concentrate on what will sell best for him (what has the most demand). I doubt that's going to be folks wanting slipperentials for their stock plastic chassis on an E-Maxx or E-Revo.

You do mention that you have an aluminum chassis...FLM or GMaxx? I'd bet that Mike will have something available for the FLM or GMaxx chassis well before anything to bolt onto the stock plastic chassis.

If Mike is in business to sell as much of the slipperentials as he can then there are a LOT more E-maxx's and E-revos out there than FLM chassis or GMAxx;s. Maybe a 1000 to 1 ratio? Mikes a smart guy and will figure it out.

It is both frustrating and expensive in the long run to buy new parts that do not hold up with the power of 2200kv and like. Therefore, I think it is a sensible investment if you see it in the long term.

Here's something else to think about with the E-Revo and E-Maxx...
Unless Mike comes up with some trick design for them using more than just a diff, gearing is going to be a pain in the butt if the stock diffs are used. Even if his slipperential comes with something like a 51T spur, using a 10T pinion on 4S stills gears the truck for ~40mph. So if someone wanted to gear for about 45-50mph on 6S, it's just not possible with the stock diffs. Just some food for thought.

That's true. But I do believe most folks looking for this kind of drop-in E-Revo solution are already running a 2200kv MMM combo.

One of life's little lessons is knowing that trying to be right all the time is a wasted battle. Driving your point home is not going to help anyone, if they want to try or do something that you do not agree with they are going to do it wheather you like it or not. The statement was made that this is going to end up as a universal unit. Why would you want to argue about wheather or not it will work or not work for someone elses vehicle on his forum. This forum sells parts to make a living. Why don't we let Mike wade through those questions as to wheather his Patent pending item will work for someone or not????

I don't disagree with any of the points being made on here. If Mike makes special mounts for each of these vehicles, that's great for anyone using one of them. However, a slipperential by itself is not a direct replacement for a tranny on an E-Maxx or E-Revo. My impressions were that some folks believe it would bolt right up to their E-Maxx or E-Revo without needing a vehicle specific mount and that's just simply not the case.

The post I made about gearing with a 2200kv motor is something for anyone to take into consideration when thinking about going with a center diff in a vehicle that originally had a tranny to aid in gear reduction. I have a center diff E-Maxx with a RCM mount and have that problem myself with gearing and I have 13:43 diffs. The stock diffs on an E-Revo or E-Maxx will only exacerbate the issue of having to go to very small pinions when trying to gear down.

Yes and everyone knows that once you upgrade your system to improve the power output that the stock diffs just will not hold up no matter what the upgrade is. This is not new info for anyone on RCM.

Thats why we use UE diff or Hardened Differential and Pinion - From Hot Bodies Lightning PRO diff :-)
