Yeaaahhh. You'd have to know her really. She personifies the word "blonde". She's not dumb because she does OK in school as long as she's not staring off in la-la land...

Well, I know my Jato has done 47mph (police radar), and this buggy seems at least as fast as the Jato. But the Hyper 8 is bigger so the fear factor of driving a larger vehicle might be skewing my perspective. Just put it this way; the vids did not show top speed.

Cool video's. If the vid's didn't show top speed, that thing sure has got to be quick and fast. From the movie, it looked to be rippping down the street.:027:
Happy B-day!!

Yeah, the buggy hits top speed about 75-100ft past me in the vid, but I was in the way of the cam. I think it's actually too fast for the track I plan to use it at, but oh well.
I took a video of the slow speed performance. It's a little better since I was able to prop the camera somewhere stable. Don't mind the hanging sheets in the background - It's a ball net so my son can practice hitting tee-ball in the house without breaking anything. :)
Vid 3
That's as slow as I can go without it stopping. Notice no cogging? :)

lol. Well, the point of the last vid was to show how smooth the Neu can be with the Quark. Going fast is relatively easy to do. It's going slow that tends to get the motor to cog, especially when using high kv motors.

That looks real smooth brian. I like that. I use my quark 80b and 1512 2.5d for some slow going some time. How do you like the 2d version?
Peace!

It actually works VERY well. The 2d was supposed to be a 2.5d, but the box was marked wrong and I got the 2d instead. I didn't realize it until I ran it a few times and wondered why it was so darn fast. :)
I love the Quark for its smoothness and ability to run just about any motor equally well. Yeah, it has a couple of limitations, but am definitely willing to live with that for better written motor driver firmware.
Even when doing top speed runs up and down the street and heavy throttle starts (tires are getting worn), I still get about 45 minutes of runtime and only drained the batts to ~6Ah (8Ah cells). The motor is warm at about 100*F and the ESC and batteries are cooler. I would've thought they would be hot with such a low turn motor.
So, it's a "little" faster than I was planning. And to add to that, I'm trying out a 16T steel pinion (to test durability when using a solid mount with consistent mesh). I haven't run it since last weekend as I lost a wheel nut and need to replace it first.

bump, any testing with steel on steel gears yet?
how is the neu doing? you run 4s right?
2600Kv X 16.8V full charge = 43680rpm. still not extremly high.
