Haha that's good PBO.

Last summer I was coming home on a backroad, putzing for once on the bike. I see a headlight in my mirror, ok I'm thinking, dude wants to roll with me. So then he passes me.
Ok he wants to go by....... nope he proceeds to pull out his Blackberry and start texting with his clutch hand.

This is at night. This is on a road that is overflowing with deer, fox, turkeys, possum, raccoon, you name it. But all the while he is slowing down, apparently trying to ruffle my feathers. I'm thinking.. this guy can't be serious. Oh he was, and was obviously trying to impress me and/or whatever other form of wildlife that might bear witness to his awesomeness. I entertained the idea of rolling alongside and knocking the toy from his neanderthal hand. Better judgement prevailed however, and I simply passed the steam-powered-weekend-badass-poser. I then got up to 80ish, with a bit of distance in between, and locked the rear. Actually pitched it a bit, dirt-track style.

Guess what he had to grab, and guess what he had to drop to do it.... that's right the clutch, and the phone.

I then made a very effective depart by diving in the left lane as he went by and did the quickest U turn in history... I don't know if he pursued. All I cared about was the critters..

Yeah I may have maimed him (I didn't) but I may have saved his stupid ass at some point in the future.... he learned a valuable lesson. And yeah sometimes you gotta be a bit of an arrogant jackass to do it.

And I have truly seen it all......

Redshift, sometimes you gotta hit 'em between the eyes to make 'em see the error of their ways

Q. Does every vehicle in USA have an automatic transmission? Why is that? I would guess its simply because most of the roads are long and straight, so no skill is required with regards to shifting up and down at the correct time. Ofcourse, saying something like that might cause a heated debate...
I just sold my Ford Escort to buy a Ford Ranger and one requirement was a 5spd manual!

I wish I had a manual... Instead of simply pushing in the clutch, I shift to neutral to save gas when decellerating. Then sometimes I'm not sure if I'm in neutral or drive.... I do know that 2nd gear shifts at 12-15, 3rd gear is 20-23, 4th is 30-32. I try to drive low 20s on 25mph roads and just aboe 30 on 30-35mph roads. On the highway I keep a steady petal and see if I can draft behind a semi/other vehicle.

Well just now logging in I put in redshit haha except that would be scary....

ML drafting is a bad idea-- ever see a rig tire on the road after a blowout?

They are holding aound 90 psi, you wanna be behind that when it goes? Not to mention a 40+ pound mudflap cominjg loose.

But worst of all, you leave yourself zero reaction time should anything happen where the truck needs to panic stop.

As far as saving money the best thing you can do is simply find another area to conserve... obviously not RC , but largely you can't control fuel prices etc, cut back on something you can control. Buy one less pine air freshener---- you get the point.

I am not reading 19 pages of BS to find that... I think he is feeling the tranny shift from 4th to 3rd, or the torque converter is locking up,unlocking. Those little turds on have a 4spd auto... If the rpms rise after the "shift" you have dropped a gear, if the decrease, but not much, the torque converter is locking up. A locked converter gives better mileage, but you loose the viscous torque multiplying effect.

A black guy in a korean car, sounds like a good start to a joke...
