That's the thing, I have one battery under the chassis and it still lifted at a little over 45MPH.

Got to work on the front downforce at highspeeds. Picking the right truck body is key. You could also make some louvers in the front of the body for air to escape that flows underneath the body, causing you to lift at higher speeds.

This vid shows what you guys are talking about. (Skip toward the middle to see the higher speeds with the 3s 5K pack.)

Even with weight strapped to the front end, it would still lift off the ground at high speeds. It even flipped on its back around 60 mph.

snellemin is on the right track with the downforce idea. I kinda quit on it once I hit 68.7 in my pede. I bet if I figured it out, I could finally break 70.

Last years record was 72.something mph. 1/5 scale is allowed.

On the rustler/pede you need to mount an RPM wide bumper upside down This creates good downforce on the front eliminating front lift.

Tried it. It helps a bit but not enough.

The next thing I'm going to try is a swami wheelie bar upside down. The wheelie bar wheels are just barely above the ground, so hopefully that will do the trick.

Yes, I currently have my wheelie bar upside down and low to the ground. The wheelie bar needs to be very strong as it will bend under force.

If a rustler VSL can do 70 I would have thought this could be broken with a tuned pede... Not sure if this classes as a MT in the truest sense though...

Valid point- the Pede just looks like rusty on stilts in my eyes...

I prefer the newera skidplates and wheeliebars. They are a bit longer.

I'm going to take a picture of my skid plate tomorrow. It's not fancy.

IT's ALIVE!! I got the ESC working again. Just ran it for 5 minutes with a little hacker motor and 2s2p A123's. I'll play with it some more tomorrow and see if it burns up again.

Is it the ESC that's on the Cheap "high voltage" esc thread? If so check out the pictures I posted there. http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...?t=9624&page=9
