Wait... Channel 1? Channel 2 is typically for throttle with pistol grip TXs.

The motors will be spinning at the same rpm since they're on the same spur gear.
If your using 12 cells on each esc now, I'd use 2 4s packs of the same age and specs. If you use 1 4s pack on each side you won't be able to sit some of the batteries under the chassis like you do now obviously, but I wouldn't want to do that with lipo anyway.
Your chassis looks like it will hold more than 6 nimh cells length ways, so if you have about 165-170mm of space I'd look for the longer style lipos since they sit a bit lower than a normal length pack of similar capacity. I'd probably go for the 5000mah 25c enerland cells (flightpower, poyquest and a few other brands that I forgot), but you should be able to loose some capacity if you want, since 5000mah 25c packs can do 125 amps, and you'll be using 2 in parallel...good luck trying to put 250 amps at 4s to the ground

hi

the 18.97kw is only rated at 5s not 6s. anyway i would not go higher than 4s on each controller with the big maxximum. a fan on the esc and another mounting position wouldn't be wrong also.

bye

2 4s packs. 1 4s pack for each esc/motor.

each Nimh cell has 1.2v, so 12 each side means 14.4v. Each Lipo cell has 3.7v, so 4 cells means 14.8v. So you would be making a step up in power.

2x 4S 25C 5000mAh will not go down in power... that's 3700Watts of continuous power...

I'm sure ur nIMH had some ballz, but nothing close to the power output of the Lipos....
I rand 36 and 48 Cell Lipos at one time on a 20+ Lb Dual brushless E-maxx.. supermaxx/Ultra maxx Tranny, and 8 Spiders.. and I custom made 10mm cvds for mine.. :) Lipos are way more powerful.. and shed some weight too....

the 18.97 can do 6S, I did 6S with a snot load of 18.61K and 2 18.129F... I emailed schulze of this, and they said it was okay.....

Let's say each of your 12C @ 1.0Volts can pump out 100Amps... Comes out to 1200 Watts per 12 Cells.. so you have 2400 Watts Peak with the 24 Cell NiMH... Doesn't even come close to the continuous output the lipos has to offer... imagine the peak output of the lipos.... :)
