Got my neu 1512 2d in today and hooked it up guess what!!!!! the mm esc is fried it will not arm. Any idea waht I can do with it other than a paper weight to go along with my fried 7xl. I have had this buggy for three months and it has ran for all of 20 minutes before it toasted itself!!!! sorry for all the extra puncuation but this is just a little frustrating. Can I send the esc back to castle to have it fixed?

Got a buddy's esc and all is fine ran the buggy for about 15 minutes with no problems other than seperating a tire from the wheel. I am a little concerned about the temps. Battery true rc 14.8 8000mah lipo 90 degrees, Mamba maxx esc 146.2degrees and neu 1512 2d 120 degrees. I have the novak capacitor on the speed control, but it looks like I need a fan for the esc. The car is geared 14 tooh pinion and 47 tooth spur. Very fast by the way.

The temps don't sound too bad from what I have been reading. Doesn't hurt to put the fan on there though.

Depending on what you are using to read temps, those values could be incorrect. IR temp sensors have an emissivity setting, which compensates for the different rates at which certain materials (Al vs plastic), finishes (bare metal vs anodized vs paint), and color (black vs white) emit heat. If it's too hot to hold for less than 10 seconds, it's too hot IMO...

Guys,

I know it has been a while since I have posted. But my local track is closing....anyone know if there is a track that is not three hours away that will let me run mybrushles buggy? Just bashing around the house isn't much fun. Oh yeah I am in the great state of Texas and Arkansas. I am three hours east of Dallas, and two hours west of Little rock.
