Can you give me more information please.

Thanks a lot!!
I have one FLM savage complete with current setup.
I am building another with new stuff.
I will clarify below:

Current setup -
FLM BL Savage Kit
8xl
Mamba Max ESC
16t pinion
47t Spur
4s MaxAmps 5000mah

Changing above setup to -
FLM BL Savage Kit
Neu 1521 instead of 8xl
Mamba Monster Max (not out yet but soon) instead of Mamba Max
6s of possibly the Flightpower packs instead of Maxamps 4s
and gearing i am not sure yet until i get the parts.

Now my current setup is very powerful IMO. It does out perform the K4.6 Nitro that does come with the Savage SS kit. How ever like i said i am all about insane power and speed.

My current setup - great for a budget but still good performance

My future setup - great for tongue dropping performance but price is alot higher.

Such that my stepsons stock AE18b will run right with it until the long straights and even then keeps up due to mine looses traction if the wind hits the throttle trigger.....like runnin it on ice. I digress. Sorry.
Can you explain, please, what difference this Neu 1521 will make over your current set-up?
I am curious to know if any of you have experienced tranny problems with all these high rpms and more than 5 times the power of stock? I predict having problems with the slipper clutch and the plastic case being able to hold the torque and any added heat.
Anyone who gives a setup uses the presumed 1521. I do not know these motors, I have confidence to those who believe to be the best motor ...!

I have had no problems with drive train. Make sure your diffs are shimmed correctly. That is the main reason they fall apart. If you shim them properly you should be fine.
I locked the slipper and made the start power of the Mamba at 50% (still plenty to make it wheely though.)
The Neu will give more torque because it can handle more volts for it is rated at 60000 RPM as apposed to 40000 RPM and because of the voltage increase it should result in in more torque and a little better top end because of the higher RPM capability.

The 8xl setup should outperform the picco .28 and the 1521 definitely will.

Yes you will just need to run a UBEC or a seperate rx battery. I run a seperate rx battery. Some have even had it on 6s but that is really pushing your luck and only runs for a very very short time and then thermals, but it does 4s just as good as 3s and runs 5s but sketchy at times. To run more than 3s you need to use castle link to disable the BEC doing this though make sure you have a separate LVC to monitor your lipos (i have a nomadio react w/ telemetry) so you dont bring them to low and damage them then remove the red wire from your throttle servo/channel wires going to your rx.
