Man, I've never been so confused. I have never seen a controller change battery count as much as the Jeti/Hacker Master Car controllers. I have the Master Car race and it has Jeti and hacker on one side of the sticker and the other it says it only handles 5-8 cells (NiXX) and the Ron= 2 x 0,0012 Ohm. It looks the same as the ones in Jeti's website http://www.jetimodel.cz/eng/adv_car_en.html. Now I did a search and found that the Master Car sport handles 5-10 cells and has a Ron= 2 x 0,0012 Ohm and I found another one that syas up to 12 cells.

hi

as i mentioned above i have an instruction sheet here from 2003 of the hacker master car speed controllers. here its says 66A current for the sport and 111A for the competition. so those specs should apply to those 'older' bigger controllers. both 6-12cells (lipos weren't popular that time).

i also guess the 'newer' only jeti-flagged esc are smaller and they may well handle less power. however it also says on for the 'race' version one could limit the current to 80A. so it should be able to handle more than 80A right.

dimension of the hacker 66*31.5*29, jeti 56*27*17mm.

bye

Although the amp ratings Takedown found surprise me a little bit I am still looking forward to testing this out. Thank you for all of the good information.

I dont get how its surprises you? 100a cont is plenty of power for what your looking to use it for. And no those specs that rhy pointed out cant be right becuse Ive read in 2 places now that it does 90-98amps cont and its looks to be around that range to.

hi

the different amp rating may be due to the difference of an opto version and the normal bec version. the numbers i mentioned are the BEC versions. so i can easily imagine that an opto version is in the range you mention. you may give us a link to the specs you are refering to.

you mean the 'race' is lower specified than the 'sport'? or do you mean the jeti-race is lower rated than the hacker-sport?

some detail pics of the hacker would be nice. havn't seen one for so long.

bye

I just tested the esc with 4s lipo and the vileneon, in my e-savage. This thing is the bomb! I can't believe I am saying this but I see an improvment from the mamba max, no matter what the amp ratings are. And it ran cool to a little warm. I was wheeling like crazy, and that was with a little vileneon.

Two thumbs up!

I actually traded my fried mamba max to Ryan for his novac motor and a heli receiver, he really wanted it. And yes, I am aware he is getting the MMM, no problem there.
