I just started my build too, will a 9xl and a bk warrior ESC work well or should I hock the ESC and upgrade, I'll be running a 4000 4s lipo and it's just for pure fun...

I'm running a 9xl on bk warrior 9920. It's running very well on 4s, no complaints. The BK lacks programming options, but it's a stout little ESC. I've burned up two quark 125b's on this setup for apparently no reason, but the old BK is still running strong.

ha. ha. ha.

Actually, the warrior has held up better than any ESC I have used on this setup. It's a very solid little guy. As I said, 2 quarks bit it for no apparent reason, and my MM blew the caps.
Been running the warrior on here for several months, running it hard, with no problems.

Figured I'd update this thread...I made a decision and I put a deposit on an E-Revo. I know there are things about it which are less race worthy than a conversion but the biggest reason I did it is to show my support for the product to Traxxas - may sound like a dumb reason but I feel strongly that if we show companies who make Electric Products support - they will continue to create innovative Electric products.

I can't wait for it to arrive and I also can't wait to complete heads up against the Nitro MT guys again (just like the good old days of the E-Maxx vs T-Maxx)

If you really want to show your support buy 2 and ship one to me. I would like a E-revo stock or convert. I have never seen any of the kick ass deals on revo-rollers that I hear about from time to time. Thus I am slowly improving my e-maxx. I am happy with it. Now the WU wants a upgrade after seeing how mine runs. I keep thinkinng we sell her e-maxx. Give her my FLM brushless e-maxx (With Warrior, do I geta metal??). Then get a Revo for myself.

MMM on the way!!!!!! Still undecided on motor. Mega 22/45/1, Medusa 36/60/2000, or Neu 15/15/??
