3.60/gal! thats like 95c/L my my calcs. In aussie thats just over 100c/L in our money. I wish! Here in aus (in NSW at least) fuel is pushing 155c/L !!

In Brasil it's about $1.45/L, but the Methanol is 50c/L.

I wouldn't worry about that too much. You won't be finding too many "pros" lol. Just look at some of the vids I put up on Youtube (linked in sig) and see some of the driving. Needless to say at the last bash there was a high casusalty rate between some of the new to racing drivers and the huge jumps they built at the track. Everyone is very laid back and just out to have a good time. You should come if you can swing it regardless of your truck or skills. The bash was my 1st time on the track, my setup was all wrong, and I still had a blast (and a 2nd place trophy ;) )

I agree 100%. Hobby is all about having fun. It's even better when you put together a nice group of guys. You will always learn something new. I'm still learning this hobby and I've been doing it for 15yrs.

When is this event for RCM, or has it yet to be scheduled? I do some business travel up to NJ frequently, who knows with some lucky timing might be able to make it work...

I'll think about it. I am running 6s A123 (About 1/2 the voltage of the 10S guys)
Stock shocks, Wanderer motor, and a bunch of RPM stuff. The biggest issue is most likely the Suspension and where the weight is. I thought about coming just to learn and get some advise on easy improvementS to my truck. I have not run any of my equipment on a real track yet. Unless you count 15 years ago when I had a P.O.S. bandit that could barely make it around the track (No slipper or anything!!)

I'll watch and see what this develops into.

NP, just to note tho, @ the RCM Bash I ran a 8xl/4S/MM combo on a mostly stock Revo, and if anything it was too fast. My 2nd race I used the Revo 2spd and barely got out of 1st gear. As long as you can make a 10 min run and do 30mph you are set.

Here was a race w/ the nitro MTs from the 07 Bash. My suspension was HORRIBLE. I ever raced before and just bashed, and the setup was so screwed up for the jumps. I could not land on my wheels lol.

Had fun regardless, learned alot about racing, and figure out what I needed to start doing with the truck to make it right on the track. Came back a few weeks later at the RCMTRA's, raced some nitro Revo's, and actually led a few laps...ended up in 4th place as I was a rook and made a lot of errors, but the learning and experience is priceless. I urge anybody to go just to have fun and not worry about doing good or looking like an idiot. I certainly did 1st race and still came out fine.
