The Novak items can be sent in and replaced:
Novak Brushless Motor Replacement options
We also have the HV 5mm rotor upgrade kit available.

I had thought that going to the HV's was going to get me a little more reliability, while sacrificing some performance. Yeah, right.
I think the only thing one can do is to buy a set of Titans and a ESC. Have them on hand for when the brushless stuff doesnt work. Probably will wear them out!

The one with the bad ESC has already been replaced once (different issue). I purchased it new last May, and still have yet to run a complete set of batteries through that truck. (part of that is my fault since I dont get time but every three months or so to work on these - so the replacment one actually sat for about 4 months before I finally got around to wiring it up).

It's taking me awhile to get my gmaxx complete too. At least you're back stateside where different shopping options and LHS are readily accessible. I'm in the military stationed overseas and just imagine what I go through waiting for parts. I'm just hoping my MMM won't die on me when my motor and batteries arrive sometime this week. USPS Priority shipping takes between 8-14 days to arrive. I'm a happy man when I get a package within a week.

I think at times we all have to remember that this is a hobby. It's easy to be disappointed after money is spent and problems still arise. At the end of the day, patience always wins over frustration. I just set fire to my Quark Pro Car 33 after running it in my Mini Inferno ST on 4s. I've got a full carbon fiber chassis conversion, a sweet chrome outrunner and pretty much every part is aftermarket aside from the hub carriers. Still, I chose to see how fast it would go and ended up with a few minutes of fun and then flames..

I feel extremely lucky! It took me 1 week to build my flm savage then waited a week for MMM and it is still kicking hard and fast (knock on wood) It is my first bl conversion and it ran with an 8xl but that did blow apart and my luck came too and a guy was selling a neu and got that so only had about 5 days down time form that. I couldnt be more happy.

I kept track of the orders, and I spent LOTS of money. Then, I put it all together after putting my son to bed every night for a few weeks (had to wait for parts to trickle in), and had to make a bunch of stuff that doesn't fit, fit. But it was fun, and I was excited; I knew the payoff would be worth it! I've seen the videos on youtube!!
So finally, last night, I charged my 2 packs. I got done making all my solder connections, and I checked every single thing multiple times. It was ALL ready to go. All I had to do was calibrate the MMM (I had already programmed what I wanted through castle link!). I had some trouble making it work, and, then, NOTHING. It died. Yes folks, another dead MMM. Drives me nuts; so much went into this whole project, I waited so long, and now, I'm gonna have to wait a FEW MORE WEEKS!! My little boy was dying to see it run too (daddy's monsa truck!).
This, my friends, SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll admit to not reading all the posts.. but did you consider getting a MM esc w/ a BEC until you get a good working MMM? Granted you're limited to a 4s config, but that is still plenty for most motors :) Then you always have a spare, for any problems :)

Hay mk351e,
I feel your pain.. I’ve been fortunate enough to perform several ground up builds this year that have costs me thousands and thousands of dollars, the parts usually end up in boxes until enough of them have arrived to actually get excided and start building them. Hours are spent carefully assembling them to you actually achieve your build. (That’s a great feeling) what NOT is being unable to do anything without properly working components, (past example) I just completed a 47hr $3,500 E-Revo build and my new controller wont work (RRRRRRRrrrrrr) I ended up sending it back to the manufacture and 3 weeks later the problem was fixed and it’s been great ever since. It sucks… but for what it’s worth, it all works out in the end!..
Bust of luck..
