Thanks Neil... I will add those to my list. Will the 125B run well on 5s without ill effects? I noticed it's not the most favourite esc out there now.

The 125B runs great on 5s. I have that in my Ultra GTP and it runs perfectly fine.

And if you plan on running 6s, I'd get 35v caps. Yeah, 25v is really close to a "peaked" lipo (25.2v), but you always want a little overhead (I like ~15%). A little leeway stresses the caps less and there is always a chance of voltage spikes when braking.

Could this work? 35v 2200uF or is the 'uF' rating too low?

That would be fine- I'd use a pair in parallel for best performance.

The quarks used ot be popular due to good customer serive in the states, but the US office went bye-bye some time ago, and tracking down the Korean one is a bit tricky, as has been noted. Shame though, since the newer Quark Plasma escs look rather awesome....

As for the caps, dont go with the novak module, thats the one that has been blowing up on hvmaxx escs ever since they updated it. The specs you want are:

25v (or 35v), low esr, 105*C, 2700uf (I wouldnt excede about 6000uf if you use several in parallel). A few examples:

one

two

three
I know neil, I was asking because i got the 6s twitchy ones. If the caps help, i might try them, couldn't hurt. I got three quarks, one 80 and two 125, while they may be replaced with mamba's or tekins, i got to make them last for now. but want more out of them and want to experiment with 6s setups. The 80 is on my GT conversion on 5s right now, I want to try 6s setup with the lehner basic XL 1200 kv motor. My G2R is set up with a 5s setup on a 125 w/2.5D neu 1515 (1600kv) I'd like to regear to 6s and 35-40 on a 3095 transmission. The other quark will probably find its way into my 8T with either the 2.5d 1515 or my 2250/10t lehner, if i go 2250 in the truggy, it'll need a big pinion even with 6s lipo's. I'm sure based on the surge ratings, the 125 can handle the 2250, just hope it can take the 6s without burning

The thought has crossed my mind to put the 2250 in the revo on the 3095 transmission, is has the mount holes already

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
