could i get measurements of the center-to-center distance of the center diff mount holes (where it attaches to the chassis)

also the distancece between the inside of the front and rear center diff mounts

How does the top plate attach to the motor mount? - Any clearance issues with the rear brace?

I'll get that for you tonight with pictures so you can see if it's correct.

Can't be otherwise you would have to machine LOTS and LOTS of metal away to get that shape!

Top plate like a brace what is fixed behind with screw on motor side. I will redesign for simplier faster fix. With 12t pinion and hyper 8 default spur Medusa 60mm motor allmost tuch rear torque bar. Maximum gears are 18/52. XL motors (74mm) will not fit with low gears.

Hyper 8 have stupid diff mount what makes diff/motormount difficult to mill. I have only 3 axis machine so i need to do additional details (shims) or trimm it by hand to fit it.

silly question. but would there be any way to mount it the other way? like to get it out of the way of the rear chassis brace? looks good though! keep up the thinking guys!

dont worry. im an idiot lol.

i thought if there was any way to mount the motor the other end of the diff, but to do that u would have to have a HUGE shaft... OR have a really HUGE pinion to clear the top of the diffmount. (i.e. a spur sized one! haha.)

edit: OR flip the diff round, then it would work maybe? u would ahve to cut out a slot in teh bottom though, not too difficult if you really wanted a longer motor...

On buggy if you flip center diff it will not fit under body. Two - three solutions to fit bigger motor, redesign rear torque bar or use bigger spur gear, place some spacers under diff or make new whole diff mount what is taller.
I designed mount for 60mm medusa motor its more than enough on buggy, no reason to use any bigger motor on that.
I will put 74mm motor to get gearing limits...
