Looks great! Looking forward to the rest of the project. Are all the screws metric on it? RC8 buggy as well? I remember on my old brushless rc10gt, all the screws were standard which is why I sold it... Good luck with the rest!

Super nice! Can't wait to see it finished. What batteries do you plan to run?

Awesome batteries! I have 3 packs of the same cells in 4s configurations for my Losi 8ight and I couldn't love them any more. Zippy 5000 cells are great.

Ok here is cheesecakes informative post regarding the current rc monster kit for the rc8

The motor mount fits excellent. the radio tray is where the issue comes in. the radio tray sits to low due to the larger diff and the way the chassis brace mounts. There is a easy fix for it though. For those that have the rc8t kit you have shims that come with it to shim the servos up. instead of using them in between the servo and the radio tray use them on the stand off and the radio tray on the bottom it will raise up the tray. i used 2 large shims on each side to raise it up. it gives it about 4mm of clearance over the center front drive shaft

here are some pictures to help you out

Here are the shims i am talking about

The thickness of 2 shims

the shims mounted on the servo tray and the stand off

a blurry picture of the clearance you get

Radio tray and motor mount installed

battery trad installed also using the same holes i use on my buggy

If only Asso did have the propriety to put a top steering plate made of aluminium in RC8 instead of plastic, They did it for RC8T. It's a non sense to put plastic there on a "Factory Team" kit

Good motor choice, what voltage you going to run? I gave up on my Monster, went back to the MGM.
