....okay...if anyone is skeptical about getting this truck...or are going to get this truck...or are on the fence on whether ot not to get this truck....
GET IT
THIS THING IS BAD A$$!!!!! Honestly I've never had this much fun driving an rc on the track since my when I first got my 8ight....and when i go to the track I usually had another rc with me and so far I've had: Stampede, Rustler, wheely king, 8ight-t, revo, muggy, monster truck 8ight, slash (yes, i did have a slash

), and the entire time I would drive these other trucks for about 1 battery pack and went ahead and spent the rest of the day driving my 8ight

....until today....this thing is super durable (just as a buggy/truggy hybrid should be)...handles like its on rails....drifts through corners like the real thing...soaks up jumps...and looks super cool doing it....i had it geared for 40mph on 4s with my neu 1515 1/y/f and MMM and everything stayed cool....however, the best thing about this whole session was that the mud guards attached to the roll cage kept the insides super clean....as you will see in the following pics the track was a little muddy but my esc/battery/motor/receiver only had dust on them once i removed the body....Now of course there will be a few CONS as every rc has them...
1.)dealing with 8 body clips everytime you want to change the battery is a PIA....you could either cut off one of the rear braces in the back (my hand could fit right through the front window portion of the roll cage) so that you can get both of your hands in there...or just use the four body clips on the outside of the shell and use the body will hold the roll cage on...
2.)with my bash/race session i found a couple of weak points on the stock body that could easily be fixed with some duct tape placed in strategic areas...if your like me and it takes you a couple dozens laps of landing on your lid doing cartwheels and flips you will want to do this body fix...you will see in the pics that just the front and rear areas need the duct tape on the inside...and this should be plently
3.)the front end of the body kept popping off the front bumper (and this caused the tearing of the body at b/c every time my front end hit the ground, the front of the lexan body would take the brunt of the the force since the body worked its way outside and over the front bumper....maybe some velcro or zipties will fix this...not sure...
4.) THATS IT....
now here are the pics:
BTW, I couldn't stop smiling the whole time I was at the track....get one..trust me...you won't regret it... hope this helps...
P.S.= for driftbuggy...you forgot to tell me how insane the 8ight becomes once you put it on 5s...this setup really shouldn't be legal :)
