My reed switches came in today!!! so I got everything wired up so I can now turn on my mamba max with just a magnet(that will be glued to the inside of the body) I have the switch still wired inline with the reed switch so I could test with no body on still, but still have the convenience of turning on as soon as u place the body on!

^the wiring diagram that lets me choose weather to use the reed switch or not... not shown is the pwm conectors so i can disconnect the reed if i need to^

^my wiring to the switch that lets me use either the reed switch or the manual switch^

^My detachable reed switch^

^video of it all working!^

OK, I finally got it all to work, and fit under the body! and it looks neat too. I have the mm sitting under the tall part of the shark fin, with a 40mm fan mounted on a 45degree angle right after it.

hmm so many people after ben's matrix... it could be a contest! and have people across the nation try and steal the truggy!(we'd give ben a lil bit to prepare...) whoever successfully gets it from him wins the truggy!

I think ben is trying to break his matrix before anybody could get a hand on it. check his matrix thread.

Update 12/2/08 -
12.02.2008, 05:01 PM
well, I've done some more work on my hyper 7 since last post, and the bash that wasn't supposed to be... I was over ben's and no matter what things just stopped working. First it was the split in the body where the pin hole is, then it was a stripped motor screw, and then it was the spur gear. After that the fm transmitter wouldnt work and then the mamba wouldn't work! I'm guessing most of it was because of the cold, because it all works now that its warm and I replaced the motor screws. The mamba still didnt so I ended up downgrading it to the lowest firmware, then upgraded it to every single firmware upgrade one at a time, then erased all settings, and it worked! but the lvc is still a little bit flaky... I added the BEC that finally came, and WOOHOO i finally have another working soldering iron!!! I mounted the bec on the shark fin, moved the fan and replaced all the hot glue with a 3 mm screw, and added a nice window to the fin so I can access the USB port without the chance of me snapping my mamba in half unvelcro-ing it.(20 lbs of tensile strength holding it down!!!) Now all I am waiting for is the spur gear that is taking like 3 weeks to come from tower hobbies...
EDIT: still having problems with the MM LVC... heres the link to the support thread:
