No, he was simply stating he thought the 2200's would ship after the 2650's. I don't think that is the case though.

Also for better and easier left-right balancing I think.

Wow,

Let's keep it simple.

2200 KV is our first motor for the Monster system. Finned can. NO SENSOR. It is shipping to distributors now. First batch has finally arrived here, they will likely all be packaged and shipped next week. This setup is great for monster trucks on UP to 6S. You don't have to go to 6S if you don't want to. Still a hoot on less. Distributor shipping / allowances are a black art and shall not be discussed here, please don't ask.

2650 KV is similar to the 2200KV, but not. Shorter can. It is coming soon. Can't even try to give you a date, but not too long.

Conversion kits are taking a painfully long time to get into production. Nothing particularly difficult, but communication with our production forces is a bit tough. Remember, we have to have things made such that they are high quality and as affordable as possible.

So, yes, the 2200 combos are shipping. Give us about 2 weeks and you should see them flooding the usual suspects' shelves. That's a definite 2 weeks, BTW.

So the 2650KV is like 1513? How would it go in a Buggy on 5S? When will the motors be able to be purchased without the ESC?

I think it's a 1512 actually.

5S will be plenty fast.

Motors will be sold individually, nothing likely until January once we catch up on the combos...

I was meant to type 1511/0 not 1513. 2650KV will be over 40 000rpm on 5S. What makes it like a 2200KV?

The 2200 kv motor will be similar to the 2650 kv motor because both are 1Y wound. The only difference is the length of the motor. Increasing the length increases torque at the expense of rpm. So in other words each motor should handle equally well when geared to go a given speed. The advantages of the 2200 are that it will handle 6s better, has more surface area and volume to deal with heat, and can handle higher gearing. The advantages of the 2650 are that it's smaller sized and less weight.

Are they similar in amp draw to? Iīm getting one for my buggy soon but I havenīt decided if itīs going to be the 2650kv or the 2200kv. If I can cet better runtimes with the 2650kv Iīll probably get one of those

Watts is watts. :)

The 2200 is a slight bit more efficient than the 2650, it is a longer winding and that makes a small difference. Nothing that you'll really be able to measure as yielding longer runs.

The 2650 is intended for up to 4S. The main ways to increase run time are to

1. Go slower -- either through lower gearing, lower KV or lower voltage -- fewer cells.
2. Get bigger capacity cells.

Either of these motors will be a huge increase in what you are used to.

Hope this helps.

Lee
