Still working on the waterproofing. Went to walmart tonight and bought some very small rubbermaid food storage containers. Got some really nice ones with rubber seals.

The reason I did this was to compare them to my homemade electronics box. I made one out of a hitec servo box, the blue plastic type with the hinged lid. I took 2.25" out of the center of the box, then plastic welded the two leftover ends together to creat a long narrow box. This box is for my ubec and the led light controller. Threw it in the sink with a gallon of soap to hold it down and filled the sink. Very little leakage into the box, I just used masking tape to seal it. I plan to seal it with silicone so that it can be re-opened if necessary. It is clear, and fits in front of the motor under the hood of the high lift body. I will take some pics of it and the chassis tomorrow. Mostly done with the water testing, and I have throughly sealed the esc this time. The erevo radio box is working like a champ, definately a good investment for a vehicle that will see water.

Brushed motors are ok to run in water. Only issue is dirt getting between the brushess and the com... I am using a titan 23t 550 from the emaxx. I just slid the outer steel ring down to cover the fan holes. I was going to get a pre-filter for the motor, but I do not know if I want a wet cloth bag on the motor. I may try to find some very small screen to cover the motor's hole so that the fan can still pull in air. The gearing is so low that the motor never gets hot, so I may just drill a drain hole in the bottom of the motor and use foil tape to cover the holes. And use some decent waterproof grease on the bushings. I have a few spare motors and do not care if they don't last...
