Mostly because of the air compressor factor. A suitable air compressor is expensive, especially at the size I'm at. Even if you already have a nice air compressor, it's more difficult to haul around and you'll need a power source everwhere you go. And then at the size of gun I'm building, you'd need a hell of a valve. Those run for a lot of money too...
