There wasnt a "real" hobby shop in NYC (manhattan) when I lived there, Take the Q train to brooklyn (20 min ride) and you are loaded with hobby shops ! (calm down liberals) The Italians out there are crazy RC fans and the shops there have really nice stuff

I'm in Manhattan and i have to order all my parts online because the only hobby shop that i know of closed a couple years ago.
