It uses two bearings in the wheel to hold the front wheel on and spins more easily.
Also "beefier"...

30 Series wheels/tires will work just fine. If you keep the stop front end go with 2 pairs of rear wheels, or get front and rear if you convert to the nitro-style spindle setup. I've got 30 series Badlands on my Rustler and they are awesome, very good tires.

I'd use Buggy wheels on the Stampede. Truggy wheels and tires will really hard on parts. 40 Series tires are for 1/8th scale only, they're very large and very heavy.

No prob. Get the steel output yokes, at least 1 spare diff, a few driveshafts, and plenty of spare stub axles. Traxxas had a good design ~15 years ago but it's a bit weak for modern power and bigger tires.

If you've got the CVDs you should be fine. An extra diff is good to keep handy with large, heavy tires. The stock diff is fine for most use but if you're putting down enough power and/or using large enough tires there are several ways the stock diff can fail. I wouldn't worry about stub axles if you've got the CVDs, The ones that come with the kit should be plenty strong enough.

Thanks Unsullied again :D. About the 17 and 23mm hex just a thought, im gonna run the 30 series Dirthawgs and Mashers 2000 only.. :) hopefully they will be a little more gentle to the tranny then bigger other tires ?, or should i stick to "stock regular 2.2 tires"

Ahh just saw you 7700KV motor - you want the 4600 or ideally just by a mm and buy a medusa 50mm 3300.
