I'm commited because I'm getting mine through my work, getting it at their cost. I'm happy that I'm saving a good chunk of money but Horizon dissapoints me a little,I figured since the HS does so much business with them that getting one pretty quick would be a cake walk.
I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

That's part of the problem of being through a distributor. CPH gets their stuff in pretty quick from Traxxas since they're direct. I got it from them quicker than Tower even though Tower had them in stock and processed my order last Thurs. It took Tower until Monday to ship it out, then it's 3 more days for UPS ground to get here.

Still way better than my situation; I placed my order with HH on 5/9 and was told via "QuickServe" that they'd be in 6/15. I checked again yesterday and it's pushed back to 7/6. Needless to say I'm not thrilled.

Yuck.
I just talked to CPH and they've got another case of VXL E-Revos on the way from Traxxas now.

I'm in favor of Mike getting some smaller lipos to fit the mini e-revo. Maxamps are super expensive and I cant seem to find a lipo from Hobby King in the 3s size with a decent milamp that will fit in the revo. I cant go back to nimh batteries, so Mike please offer us something in the 3s and 2s sizes.

Another option:
http://www.b-p-p.com/product.php?pro...6&cat=7&page=1
And there is a code on the home page for 30% off all Hyperion packs.
Are you going to tell us who makes that pack skellyo? Looks like a Hyperion pack (based on shrink wrap color)... but not sure.
I also vote for Mike selling some packs for the 1/16 trucks...

All are great products and i have never had trouble with maxamps myself, but i can't talk myself into cheap lipo's, no matter how they seem to run. My 8000mah maxamps eventually puffed and are useless, but the 5000's are still good. After MA started to jack the prices up i went to flightpower and hyperion, I have not been disappointed at all. The reason i looked at Mikes packs at all, was 1. its Mike after all, he knows what we do here and would not put his name on junk packs. and 2. his have pulled over 170 amps and held 3.0v per cell at 2600mah (i think it was 1P config.) that's all i need to know, to trust that his will be the packs to have. That's why i asked for a smaller mini sized for the 1/16 to 1/18 crowd

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Those packs you linked are a bit too long. I have the same 1500mAh pack by PolyRC and it won't fit.
The pack I have in my pics is a Hyperion G3 VX 35C 2S 1800mAh. It fits just about perfect IMO. I may try out their G3 CX 3S 1600mAh pack to see if it'll fit, but it's gonna be real close on the height.

Thanks for the info that the pack won't fit. Looks like B-P-P just didn't measure close enough... I am hoping two 2s packs in parallel will be enough power so I don't have to go with two 3s packs in parallel....

From what I've read, 3S in one these isn't good for anything other than straight line runs on relatively smooth ground. All that extra power doesn't get you anywhere when your wheels are in the air or you're on your lid.

That all depends on the motor, the traxxas is 4000kv. I hope to get one late this or next year, I plan to setup a 5s setup in it. The setup will be a 1500 to 1700kv medusa motor with a quark 33, I might go 1100kv and gear up a bit
