I wonder if this ESC has been made to work with a stick style transmitter (primarily intended for airplanes) or to work with a pistol style transmitter (cars, boats).

Anyone that knows?

Maybe I just don't better, but it really shouldn't matter ?

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

Well - it should matter. If it is made for stick style transmitters you need a Pistix:

So if anyone knows this please share the info.

Yes, the Turnigy Monster 200A ESC is for airplanes and does need the PiStix adaptor.

The ESC is made by these guys: http://www.hifei.com/en/index.asp

A guy from the offshoreelectrics forum (Source http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...d.php?p=135255) contacted the manufacturer and asked. Here is the reply:

Hi Mr. Mathieu Dupont,
Thanks for you concern about our products.
The 200A-G-OPTO is just designed for model airplane using, so it is not supporting the pistol radios.

I hope this helps.

BTW - I'm into RC planes and have 4 Turnigy Plush (airplane) ESCs. They all work very well in my planes, so I'm looking forward to find out if this Monster is any good in cars...

I just ordered the 200A ESC and a PiStix for an extended LCG FLM 10S kb45 1000Kv Savage project... Perhaps the ESC will be used in a 12S large scale conversion at a later point

Cheers,
Smurffy
