It's funny how when, for example, someone breaks a diff, or breaks a wheel, or anything else mechanical, they just go out and buy a new one...

They don't bug the manufacturer to replace it under warranty.

But, when someone rips wires out of their ESC, or lands so hard they break the circuit boards, or gears their truck wrong, or uses really bad quality batteries, or uses a bad motor -- somehow, that's the ESC manufacturer's problem.

In about 90% of "warranty" replacements that we do, the actual fault lies with the setup, or with a crash. Yet, often, we still replace the ESCs.

Why? Well, we want people to be happy with their purchase, so we use a little education along with a very generous warranty to help users find the right setup that works, and keep them going.

In the mean time, we continually improve the product to make it more and more rugged, and easier to use correctly. (BTW, MMM V5 is now shipping)

You can't please everybody -- someone will always have an issue. However, we strive to build the best quality products that we can, and offer them at a very good price. We strive to keep our customers happy, and that's why we have been successful.

Amen.

Regards consumer electronics- show me one good example of a product that is subjected massive fluctuations in terms of input and output current/ wattage etc in the same way an esc is.

You wont find any, because consumer electronics are designed to operate within strict, easy to predict perameters- like TVs, VCRs, refridgerators, mobile phones etc. They all have a pretty static operating voltage and current levels- even a 1600watt hoover only pulls ~1600watts, as thats the level it operates at with a fixed motor speed; electric r/cs operate with anywhere between 0 and 2000watt+ spikes, with a declining input voltage the whole time.

I dont wanna start an arguement, but you're sounding like a bitter troll more and more; sorry your esc burnt up, but it happens in this hobby, and you just have to learn to deal with it, or find another hobby- trying to bitch about it every chance you get & put off new people from buying Castle's product(s) is just gonna get you banned...
