With HobbyCity advertising in RC Magazines now, my greatest fear is that they get so popular that they start raising their prices ever so slowly, like the movie theatre, taking advantage of the demand. Sneaking in a quarter every once in a while, then before you know it, they are the same price as, well, Maxamps.

My fear, which seems to already be happening, is that all the packs I want are always out of stock. Now there are all the guys buying up huge lots of packs and then marking them up 300% and selling them on Ebay too.

have you signed up for the instock updates? frequently, the 40C packs will be in stock for just a few hours before they're gone again. in the summertime, it's pretty much the same across the board.
i find myself checking atleast 3-4 times a day.

The bad thing is their website isn't fast enough with stock updates that even if you order when it looks like there's still stock, by the time your order is actually processed, stock is out and you're on a waiting list for the next batch when you thought you had it. I had that happen to me before. But I notice is I buy 25C and 30C packs, there is usually more supply...especially the 25C, which is still plenty of discharge capability for my needs.

Victims of their own success.
I doubt they'll end up like maxamps though, or atleast not quite that bad anyway- we have alternatives now too ( yeshobby etc ) that are a similar spec and price

I got my 40C packs without an issue. Mind you, this was in January, but I had no troubles with waiting for them to go in stock. I have the Turnigy 3S 4000mAh 40C/50C packs. They are awesome by the way, I have yet to get them above 90 degrees F, running a MMM and Tekin 1550Kv motor in my MGT conversion with a center diff, badlands, and the truck weighs 12.5 pounds when it's RTR.

TURNIGY nano-tech.
You will not find a LiPo battery with better voltage stability in the R/C market today!
These batteries hold voltage so well that we were told to increase the label by another 10C, but we refuse!
TURNIGY's new nano-tech's will outperform any other branded pack in the R/C market. Thats a gutsy claim, and one we don't mind sticking to!
Available next week!

More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance.
In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery.
For those that love graphs, it means a straighter, longer curve. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance.
Excellent news for 3D pilots!
Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!

Two sizes listed as of now (3S 2650 and 4000, 45-90C) and 8C max. charge.

6000mAh should be great for replacing the extinct 6500 Hyperions.

3S 4000 mah 45C Turnigy Nano Tech:
164mm X 62mm X 23mm 375 gr.
3S 4000 mah 40C Turnigy
150mm X 50mm X 22mm 372 gr.
Those Nano Techs are large next to a comparable ordinary lipo. But the weight is basically the same. That's according to HC specs of course

Soon as my finances recoup a little I'll be buying a few.
I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.
