70C, haha!!! It's funny how nowhere on the pack does it say the 70C is actually burst, not continuous...continuous is only 35C. It's just another way for them to sell packs at inflated specs and inflated prices!

Like Bondonutz said, if you do get a replacement pack, sell that sucker to some sucker and buy a real battery!

But remember guys, Maxamps doesn't believe in the whole C-rating hype....

Oh wait, "This pack boasts a 60C rating for all your amp hungry racing setups."

Maxamps should look into switching to Hobbyking's supplier. At least their c-ratings are believable

Honestly I can see where they are coming from with their stance on C-ratings being arbitrary, but if they were really serious about their "surge watts" system then they shouldn't be describing their packs with "this boasts a 60C rating!" I mean, they have a section on their website dedicated to explaining why C-ratings don't mean anything. Seems very contradictory. But they have to keep C-ratings to sell packs, people wouldn't buy them otherwise.

Would be nice if there was a set standard across the board for what exactly constituted constant and surge/burst amp ratings. I.E. above 3.6v/cell for constant and 3.3v/cell for burst (Just as an example)

Yeah, it would be nice. There have been plenty of discussions around here and other about creating a standardized testing and rating method, but most discussions end with the determination that there are many different factors that will prevent it from ever happening.

Yeah, they want to convince you that C-ratings don't mean anything, but then Inflate their own ratings beyond every other pack on the market!

They boast they have the most? Pfffttt...........

Pictures speak volumes.

True!

But the Maxamps pack will drain your wallet a lot more than a great box of cereal and besides, the cereal will give you more satisfaction!

To closeout this thread I was offered 50% off a new pack as this was already a replacement for a failed pack...
