Yeah, you cannot beat the deal you get with the sidewinder sc combo. I think I may buy a few more just to get my fleet of 10th scale stuff up and running.

I'm running this motor in a Hyper 10TT w/a MMpro geared 42/18 for 41mph on 2s, man the thing is a powerhouse and after a full 5000mah it's ambiant temp in 80* weather..

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

I run mine with the sc sidewinder esc and on 3s in my pede 2wd it does not get warm, and neither does the esc. I really want to put this in a cheap tc and do some speed runs. If I can gear it high enough I think it would do 100 on 3s.

I have had the motor in my sc10 on 4s and it's just insane! With snow on the ground it was hard to get up to speed but what I did manage was still stupid fast. This is the be all end all motor for 1/10 scale off road for sure. There is no motor that can touch it for the price and still run cool. On 2s geared for about 40 the motor didn't get warm enough to melt the snow off of it. I can't wait to stick it in an SC10 4x4 when they come out.

Super little motor. On 2s geared 18/54 in my slash 4x4 it gets to the point that any good bumps cause the front to lift with the body on. tried to run the center diff but that just ended up causing the stock glue job on the front wheels to fail. really shakes things up when the foam starts to come out. It must be sick on 3s. 4s E-revonut... really? You sick man. What were you thinking? Speed freak!

i run my 1410 in a heavy crt .5 with a 19t pinion gear on 3s and i can't get mine over 120F. it doesn't take long to thermal the esc though.

currently, it will hit 55mph and it just screams. this motor is hands down the ultimate 1/10 motor. there's nothing that even comes close.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

Funny you should say that, I am building up a TA05 just for speed runs, got a Mamba Max ESC and a Novatech HSP 3300KV 2 pole rubbishy motor in there for now, would love to substitute this motor in and gear a bit more aggressively. I figure the MM speedy will be happier than the new Sidewinder tho.

Pity noone seems to have stock right now!

If the combo just would of come with a esc mounted fan instead of a motor fan. How would you get this motor hot enough to need a fan, while using a Sidewinder without a fan? I bought 2 more combos anyways

i was thinking the same thing.

i have yet to get the motor over 120F, but in my setup, the esc will thermal after 10 minutes of running. there is no rig out there that can make the motor get hot enough to NEED to the motor fan without hitting thermal first on the esc. i plan on adding a 30mm fan to my sct esc once i can figure out how to mount it. should i just force some m3 screws into the fins using the holes already in the fan?

edit: i plan to use the 30mm fan from the motor shroud.

I've thought about leaving the fan in the mount. Then find a way to mount the whole thing over the Esc.(ghetto style:)

IMO this combo is turning out to be so much more then I expected.

Stampede 4x4 running Losi 320s Zombiemaxx, geared 13/54, confirmed 51mph, Gens 3s 5000mah 40c No motor fan, esc mounted in the front of chassis, for better air flow.

motor 132
ESC 126
Ambient 61

SPC 8000mah 20c 17/54, confirmed 42mph

motor 125
ESC 135
ambient 60

I think that's about as hard as I would want to push it on a daily basis, but I think that is pretty dang good.
