I would go parrallel with that, cut some wires down.

.....I have (2) 6 cell packs wired in series.....which equals 12 cells...in side/side configuration...in the past I've run (14) & (16) cells....saw some benifit.... but not much.....as is it's hard to keep the front end on the ground...in either gear.......when i went up in cells it was damn near unreal and uncontrollable at times.....I don't race but I have it set up to race...there is a few races going on near me.....the one RC monster is sponsering is only like 3 hours away......I want to go....but it depends on hte finances at the time....I guess time will tell.

In series, i'm thinking more wires aren't there? What are the benefits to run in series vs parrallel? My batts are designed for the emaxx, so i could put the heavy end up front which will help. Also, if you have a flm chasis or gorilla, the batteries can be flat and even weight?

Having 12 cells wired in series is the same thing as having one battery pack that has 12 cells in it. You can have two 6 cell packs and to wire them in series you take the negative of one pack into the other packs positive, then you wire the extra wire on each pack ( a positive and a negative) to your connector for the speed conroller and voila! you now have the same thing as one big 12 cell pack. It gives you more volts with the same amps.
If you wire them in parallel, it give you the same voltage but twice the amps, (easier to fry expensive controllers)
Hope this helps

if my memory serve's me right...paralell will give you longer run times....but less voltage...(ex....(2) 6 cells 3300 gp wired in (p) will be 7.2 v ...but 6600 mah)...where as you take the same (2) 6 cells 3300 Gp wired in (s) it will be 14.4 v but 3300 mah.......the 1st one will give you less Volts...but longer run times.....the secont will give you more Volts...but shorter run times......did I explain it good enough.....also if you were able to see the pics i sent you...I made my own chassis.......if not here is the thread link to pics of my emaxx on the forums here.....

If your running the 10XL on parallel packs, wait till you series them up.I have a Novak HV-Maxx and on twelve cells it scares me sometimes
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

I got my 4200's today, i tried it out just on 18/70 gearing and it SCREAMSSSS. This was done in series, on 16 cells, i might have to get an XL somtime soon though, the motor was running hot, but ill just have to see once i get my strobe (16/51)
The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

The motor is around 130f, too hot to touch, but its because i am geared too low, at top speed i feel as if it can go faster, i dont know if ill be able to handle it! I too, will be geared 16/51. I figured it should be the perfect gearing for my application.
