Is the motor the ESP black magic motor? I remember those being torque monsters. If you run it at all, you might need the aluminum idler gear, even with the old new battery. I had a rebel esc, Still do. It's one step up from the F10 you have, tough esc and will live long, even with abuse

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

I have very little info on the motor. I have searched high and low and have found little about it. Having a name of "black magic" doesn't help the the search function either.

I don't think there is an aluminum idler for the tranny. I did get the upper steel gear though. When I run, I will make sure the clutch is loose anyways. :)

Alright, a small update before the mecca arrives (today or tomorrow).

Scored some blue rear shocks! I couldn't believe my eyes when they popped up on ebay! Still looking for fronts though!

MIP drive shafts!

Collection of decals...

completed wing.....

Some stuff that showed up yesterday.....
I never knew Traxxas made satin chrome buggy wheels! I brought the bullet shocks because I needed the white plastic.

I'll admit. I'm a sucker for vintage motors. I now have three NIB motors.

Went to build my shocks and found a broken c-clip in the bag....really? lol

Mounted on the buggy...

Mmmmmmmmmm

Alright, small update but a lot of progress!

Got this in the mail today (only needed 4 parts though):

What I needed:
right output shaft (different package)
gear cover (extremely hard to find!)
battery cups (just as hard to find!)
front bulk/arm mounts (just as hard to find!)

Does anybody know what this is to? Kind of interesting!

Starting to look like something!

Got the MIP drive cups on too. :)

Still looking for: (in white plastic where applicable or old packaging)

I may kiss the person who has any of the bolded parts and will sell them to me or leads me to them (esp. the motor plate!) !!!!!!

1662 - shock rebuild kit
1715 - wing mounts
1726 - antenna tube
1931 - front suspension arms
1942 - white rod ends
1960 - blue front shocks
1965 - piston head set
2711 - body
2720 - pro series transmission (includes elusive blue motor plate)
2734 - traxxas zipties (silly me, I know lol)
2735 - front bumper
2737 - front axle carriers/ knuckles
2752 - rear axle carriers
2770 - spoke wheels (rear)
2771 - spoke wheels (front)
2790 - blue motor plate
4650 - silver springs
Black rubber square (does anybody know the part #?)

I just got a box filled with a complete running TRX1. It is full of cool stuff. Most importantly, it came with a body. Pics will be up asap. :D

I am still looking for a NIB body though. :)

OK, time for pics of the mother load that I received the other day.....

Got this all for pretty decent price. I plan to re-sell nearly all of it. The main reason I got it was for the body, but several other things were included that I wanted to keep.

I will only be keeping:
Body
Carrying Case
Instructions
Batteries (throwing all out but one or two)
The Traxxas spoke wheels
And a few other little tid-bits (the baggies are full of cool stuff, even a few pieces of technacraft!)

Expect to see the rest for sale in the near future. :)

A pic of a charger. What are those things by Tekin? They seem a little peculiar to be chargers.

Novak ESC and Airtronics servo

A nice Airtronics remote. Needs a little TLC.

LOTS of little parts...

Some very interesting battery plugs. I have about 15-20 of these. I have never seen them before...does anybody know what they are and who made them?
