So guys,
Is it really not good for my lipos (x2 3s packs) to be charged through x2 balancers? is it really gonna hurt the batts and disturbe the voltage?

Are you talking about if each battery is hooked to its own balancer yet there charged by one charger? If so, it shouldn't...

The only thing that would be not-so-good about that is that the voltage of each pack might now be the same, and if a pack has a lower overall voltage than the other, then it would drop its voltage lower, potentially damaging it. This isn't very likely to happen, but the possibility is still there.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I thought that the LBA10 has the capability to network 2 LBA10s togheter and have them balance 2 packs together so that the packs are internally balanaced and the packs are balance to each other also. They sell a special cable for networking them together and they functiona as one big balancer. At least thats what the instructions say. I've never tryed it.
Its just a more expensive way of making an adapter.;)
If this unit is the same as a LBA10 it should be able to do this also since he has 2 balancers anyway.
I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...

Yeah, FlightPower actually said the V-Balancers can be used in pairs to charge very large lipo packs-10-12s packs.
Jon Badley of FlightPower said that he cannot recommend me to use that style to charge both of my packs, but it's possible he said. He did not recommend it for the same reasons that Metal Man has stated.
Well, any other way in charging two packs at once?

I charge my 2s2p and 3s2p in series, and have a y adaptor for the balancer to balance both packs at once.

So, should I charge my packs in series or in parallel?
Remember, I'm gonna use x2 3s 3700mah Evo20 packs and I'd rather charge them both at once, but how? My 636 charger has two batt output, but the second output is simply for small receiver packs, so I'm just limited to one batt output.

First, you need to make sure your charger can do it. If you only have one output, make a series adaptor as you would for the controller. But I don't think your 636 can charge a 6s pack can it? I know the 977 can't do 6s. Also, once you have the charger that can handle the two, if you use in series, then charge in series.
when charging in series, it would like charging ONE pack.

Is this the Schulze 636 we are talking about here?
If so, according to the data sheet I found, the first output can charge up to 11s lipo and the second output can do up to 3s lipo. If this is the correct charger it sounds like you can do this either way. Charge a 2 packs, one on each output, or charge in series as one pack on one output. It just depends on how you want to set it up.

Actually, Neweuser, the Schulze 636 charger can charge up to 13s lipos.:027:
And the second output, my friend jhautz, can only charge 3s at 500mah MAX.:005:
This mean I should be using the series connection.
Is it the same way we do it with the controllers that come with only two batt leads?
I mean, solder a wire between the + and - poles?

Have you seen this?:

That's for two 2s packs in series, but it's the same concept for two 3s packs in series. The connectors would be a bit different, but otherwise it should be the same. Let me know if you would like me to modify that drawing for two 3s packs in series.

Hello,
why don't you buy a Schulze Lipobal14 ?
It's wonderful, I have a 08 one.
And you just spend money for one devices instead of 2.
It's capable to balance till 14S.
The rest is just to play with the balance cables.
Ciao,
Daniele

Thanks for the link MetalMan!
Hello there, Daniele.
The Schulze products are very expensive and I really feel painful for paying $450 for the 636 charger, but the results are well worth it.
What features does the Schulze balancer have?

Well I do not know how much the V-Balancer will cost you, but he ProfiLipoBal14
will cost you about 150 euro .... you can also go with the not profi one to save some
money.
They do not just stop to charge the fully charged cells, they also bring energy from
the more charged to the less ones.
With a lot less heat dissipation. It also has a serial port to configure it and to
receive datas about the charging and balancing cells.
It also make you able to equalize nimh and nicd packs.
I know they are expensive, but they are not like esc, they are really reliable.
Ciao,
Daniele

Yeah, I just gave it a look. Definitely an incredible piece of technology!
Too bad you did not tell me about it a bit earlier.
Still, there is a chance of buying it in the future.
Thanks alot, my friend.
