I hope some of these rumors about the Monster Max being just a few months out are true. My nitros can keep me entertained 'til then.

as far as the quark holding up to 6s, i wouldn't count on it! i knew it was a risk on 6s, but purchased it anyway. mine won't work on 6s fully charged, it gradually starts to work as the voltage drops, maybe halfway through the packs. i was thinking about buying a 24/160 or 160/24, whatever it is. controllers suck! i havn't had one that works right yet.

Yeah, controllers do suck..... especially when you run them over their specs.. ;)
I bought 2 24.160...because one was for backup, but for my case, it's proven to an excellent controller.... it's holdin' up to everything I've thrown at it so far... and the best thing is, it hasn't thermaled yet.. not even once.... SH*T, I should've have said that... now something's gonna happen... :)

I'm laying all of my hopes on Castle Creations shoulders.
They better do it right.
The name is Alawi. You can call me Al.
Nice to meet you!

If monster maxx is rated for 6s then it will work with 6s. I am personally going to wait untill the monster maxx is released for when i convert a 1/8th buggy to brushless.

Why don't you just call Quark and let them know? If it is supposed to handle 6s, then it should. If it doesn't, then that is a defective product, which is what a warranty is for. These ESCs are kind of expensive to simply accept when it doesn't work as advertised.

i agree totally! only problem is that i havn't heard of anyone that has successfully run one on 6s, so i doubt the replacement will work! i think it will work at 22.2v, just not 25.2v fully charged? maybe i'll send it off along with my midrangeless 12020. i just want a controller that works properly on 6s!

By now, Quark has to have heard about the 6s issue and has looked into it. Maybe they already have a firmware revision out on the new ones? Who knows. I think it's worth a try - at least to call them and see what they say. They advertise it as 6s capable, then they should deliver. Hopefully it's just a software thing instead of a component. Whatever you decide to do, good luck and let us know how it turns out!

if i can get a number i'll call and see about a fix or replacement. the quark seems like a nice controller on 5s, when i turn it on i have to hit reverse throttle before it will make the last series of beeps and start working. don't know what thats about! sorry for the hijack, i'll shut up now!

To send it to Mike? The address is around here somewhere. If you can't find it by using the search bar, you can e-mail Mike.

You need to reset the neutral point. You probably moved the trim on the throttle a little. Just rerun the initial setup on the controller and that should go away.
I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

I tried the search and have e-mailed Mike. It will probably just take him another day or so to respond.
