What kind of reputable company would try to sell a product without wanting to specify the specs??? Not to mention re-labeling it.
It's like going to a Ford dealership to buy a car and they won't tell you anything about it (except that it's a Ford) or let you test drive it, and only after you buy it do you find out it's actually a Chevy with a Ford sticker over the logo.
That's no way to run a business and expect to retain a client base. I hope for his sake that Squee is mistaken (but I doubt it).

sorry to stray off topic.. but I agree the guy at (FD) is not a person I would trust anymore... I order a 3100XL, he had none in stock to he sent a 2400XL(without my knowledge)... Then recommends me 18.61 escs for a Hi-Amp 5 Turn 1930 motor.. no wonder I fried 4 of those esc .. This was way back in 2002-2003, when I was a noob..I actually thought it was my fault..... Just not a trust worthy guy... I do agree that the XLT motors are probably just Nemesis motors....... Let us know how the MM esc work out for that beast using 12000 MAh M.A. Cells... A fan is a definate Yes!.... :)

I was actually looking at getting stuff from him last year. Man, glad i never did!!!! When I called him he seemed kinda wishy washy about things and really didn't provide much info. So i decided to go with the HV Maxx originally! Well, can't say that was better, because I still am here!
Edit: but at least Novak has customer service!

hey Brian, funny you used a car analogy.:-) unfortunately although you have a very valid point with FD the car thing won't work.LOL!
In 79 Chevy ran out of 305 Chevy motors so they stuck 307 olds motor in Chevy's. and the list goes on and on. BUT I am not happy with FD at all.
Been waiting for a solid pinion for what? 2 months now." Oh I promise; K#$%$ will call you asap. Ha HA HA!!!

A UBEC or Rx pack without a doubt, and a fan more than likely. If you get a 5v fan you can run it off the Ubec for Rx pack

arh.. Sorry, the last thing I want is that you don't feel welcome here. You are more than welcome, to post any question you have got..
But these motors.. No kv or what so ever.. that's not selling technique, that's selling to make a buck.

If I'm not mistaken, Nbacznmaster was the one that found out that the XLT motors were Nemesis but relabled. I think he saw that there was a second label under the outer and pulled it off, yada yada, and asked here if he got ripped off or something and a few other members confermed that they were just relabled Nemesis'.

well i guess i should have done more research then and not bought that motor. :( Anyways since I got it I will try it and if it doesn't work I will get one from mike. I'm new to the bigger brushless stuff but not to 1/10 brushless. I have had novak brushless and now have 2 mamba brushless systems. I will be running a fan on the esc and maybe one on the motor. The motor is at the post office right now and I will be getting it tonight and see how it does. Thanks,
Justinl
Also what is the difference between using a ubec and receiver pack??

UBEC is lighter and gives a consistant voltage and you dont have to charge it. Either will work fine. Its just that the UBEC leaves one less battery pack to charge.

I thought nemisis motors were just relabled Feigao's w/blue cans. So the XLT is just a relabled, relabled motor:005:
I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
