I had a similiar problem today, only difference is I stripped the diff gear. The stampedes' plastic diff only lasted 2 1/3 charges on 7 cells with an 8s. :L: :L: :L: :L:

Think you can work out some kind of deal to sell the steel diff gears the guy that owns Cold Fusion Racing has mike?:D

i will talk to Andrew (Cold Fusion) and see if he is interested. I have a cold fusion steel diff in my pede. In the meantime, maybe you could loosen the slipper a touch?

I gotta get new slipper plates first. The whole thing fell off yesterday. Guess the copper pegs I made were a bit too long.

OOps. :L: :L: :L:

Oh well, I'll get this thing running good sooner or later. And now that I see the 8s in action, I'm glad you suggested it over the 6s I was thinking about. I definitely think the 6s would've been too much for it.:p

I beleve thicker grease will help some. I ran my basic 4200 on 12 cells and NEVER had a problem (othere than stock drive shafts). Maybe I am lucky?

Mike: Does the steel diff, slow you down alot (by the added mass verses the stock)?

I didn't notice any difference with the steel gear. I know I stripped quite a few gears before I went to the steel one, though.
