one of the easyiest ways to wire a fan is to take a old servo wire w/ plug and wire the + & - from the fan to the red/black wires on the servo lead and plug it into a unused servo channel on your receiver....also it is best to use a 5vdc fan as well....
I have a little 40mm DC 12v brushless fan, would that work?
Thanks.
yes it will, but it will run slow on 6v....basicly at half speed, if you can get a 40mm 5vdc fan and run it at 6v....it will push more air....makes sense
From experience with 12v computer fans, 7v is pretty much the lowest voltage to use. Otherwise, the fan speed is so low that it doesn't really push much air. It'll work, but the results won't be great. Those little fans don't have a lot of CFM to begin with and rely on speed to get the flow...
here you go.....and one nice thing about the site....if you refer the site to a freind, you will get a e- credit..that you can use toward your order...and you then just have to pay for shipping is all....that is what I did....but here is the link...to the one I use.........I'll give you a link to the whole page ,.....then one to the one I use.....ok....
