Hmmm...I think Lehner used to have some brushed type motors( I think the 27 series), but I'm not sure.

can anybody tell me if you can run one motor with the evx and still use both batteries.thanks for any help

Yes. The motor output leads are in parallel. Just use one (+) and one (-) connected to the motor. You can cut the other two wires off if you want to save the weight, however little it may be. That or solder each of the two (+) and (-) wires into one plug for a higher current connection. You can connect the batteries as usual.
