Just leave it be, Ben. The bearings are flanged, as Young mentioned. They aren't going to go anywhere. The can is not de-anodized, either. The motor came in a that color (that motor is an old xl2800 that came in a different color). You have no worries. If you want to change the bearings (If it makes you feel better), I will do it for you. You have to heat the can to release the threadlock and unscrew the front end. I have a jig to do this with 4 screws so it is less likely to destroy the threads. As I said, it isn't necessary, but if it makes you feel better, we can throw in some nice new bearings for you.

Man this barn closed stuff is not making me happy.
going to have to find someplace else to go sundays.... maybe onroad? hummm....
