I don't know anything about the CEN, neither about its drivetrain, but i did not heard any possitive about it? That's what concerns me. And the amount of power you discribed is nice for a show, but not for driving it every day, anytime. and that was your goal wasn't it?
It all turns down to the same; a high RPM motor with a lower torque or a low RPM motor with higher torque. Feeding it with less batteries gives you lower power, topspeed and possible a bit lower torque.
Please take this from me, brushless is very powerfull, it may not have got the hp, but it sure has got more than enough torque.
you could get a 2240/ ? (depending on the voltage you want to run) though it is a good thing getting a 2P configuration with the lipoly, because of the high amperages the 2240 can take. Or you take a lower KV range 2240. and feed it with a higher voltage. (the higher the voltage, the lower the current draw to meet the same power)
And in runtime it doesn't really matter if you have got a 12S pack or a 6S2P pack, if you choose the right motor, which will reach the same RPM, you will have about the same runtime, and the high voltage system will get less hot, it becomes more efficient.
I know that the savage can be made bulletproof rather easy. so if your Genesis fails, let me know, i will make you a list of hopups needed for the savage. But i understand that you want to use the CEN first for this brushless conversion.
