ok so il probably get a XL8 but where would i buy a feigao? i dont know much about brushless motors and where to buy them. The only thing i dont know is where I would get a correct pinion to work with my revo tranny and spur. i dont know which to get because of the pitch or the gears.

ok well i decided to get the MM and a feigao xl7 and go 4s. I figured that i would save more money using a 4s and getting more RPM using the 7xl, even with a 16 tooth pinion i get 42mph, and with a 18 pinion i can get up to 49mph which is insane. by using all of these i can avoid overheating alot and the esc will handle it easily.but either way i am wither making or buying a heat sink for both the motor and the ESC. WHat do you guys think? the last thing i need is a cheap good charger, im thinking of the venom charger, by buying both the ESC and the charger there i can save $30 which sound like a good deal to me.

Well, many run the 7XL on 4S and like them alot. Just keep an eye on the temps.
The motor heatsink is a requirement, unless you go with a "C" motor, which has the integrated cooling fins, but is also know to loose its endbells. I prefer the smooth can motors with the motor clamp heatsink.

I do like the speed and power of the 7XL, but they do run pretty hot (hotter than i like). I agree with the smooth can and the RC-Monster heatsink/clamp.

yeah i probably and going to buy a heat sink from my LHS , its going to be one of thse ones that you slide on that should work fine i think. but il probably end up putting a small computer fan on top of the heatsink. to keep it cool, i might do that to the esc as well if it starts getting hot. but dont know where to hook up the wires for the fan, maybe the reverse servo? but would it work if i use a Y harness and hook up the ESC with the stock throttle servo so i can use the mechanical brake instead of using the motor brake?

If you get a heatsink, you will definitely want to get the motor clamp heatsink from Mike. As far as I know, he's the only one that sells one. It will hold the motor together. If you get a non clamp sink, the endbells will fall off at some point.
Where you attach the fan depends on whether you get a 5v or 12v fan. When running 4S, I just run a 12v fan straight off of the battery pack.
Why would you want to use mechanical brakes. The MM has excellent brakes.

well it would save some power and it will save heat from the ESC and the motor.

do you think this would be a good motor for me, would it fix or alteast help tihe the cooling problem? Feigao 540C XL Brushless Motors, is it a 2 wire or 3 wire, but it will work with the MM right?

It will, but you will have limited gearing options since the fins on the motor prevent the pinion and spur from meshing together properly with a smallish pinion/spur. Much better to get the 8xl- it will run cooler, and you can gear it up for more speed. Do a search for 'e-revo' and you will see what gear ratios people run. I would also consider the 1/8 buggy diffs, since the stock ones may require rebuilding after every few runs running a BL motor setup.
