a savage, you can build a complete fastlane machine savage, my buddy runs a nitro version with an o.s. .30 3 horse motor. You can get combo bulks, extended low cdenter of gravity chassis, extended arms that come with titanium driveshafts, my friend is absolutely planted, and a 3 speed tranny! Absolutely bulletproof!! Yep, a full fastlane savage, and kershaw designs makes the brushless motor mount. I've played with the lst's as well, and out of the box they would be as bulletproof, but they wouldn't be a custom fastlane savage with the cool twin vertical plate design, if I didn't have so much $$$$$$$$ in maxxes i would be building one right now, I'll get a pic tommorow of my buddies savage, L8R!

Isn't the gorillamaxx chassis kind of fragile and meant more for racing? I'd think if you wanted a bashable e-maxx to go with FLM all the way around, though getting to the durability and strength level of a stock 1/8th scale truck would be really expensive, you'd be better off just converting a nitro 1/8th IMO.

Nah, the Gorilla chassis are actually really strong. No FLM, but there strong.

i don't recommend traxxas at all. too much money needs to be spent on upgrades before it reaches the same quality as a 1/8th scale truggy/monster truck.
the revo has weak diffs and transmission gears. but i can see you already know this since you brought spider gears for your revo, rpm gear all around and aluminium carriers, which would have set you back heaps of $$$. from my experience, traxxas vechicles only stand up to abuse if you continually upgrade them.

get a quality truck out of the box like a mugen mbx5t, losi 8ight t or jamin' crt. get the pro version and build it yourself.
the jammin' CRT pro kit cost me $575 from towers ($600-$25 discount).

those upgrades are for my tmaxx actually. i dont think the evo has spider diffs

i have a t-maxx as well. its only a good truck because i have spent alot of money on upgrades. in stock form the t-maxx is terrible.
for example cheap plastic shocks....worst design ever! the shock caps pop after one small crash. so you pay $480 for a RTR truck and you have to spend another +$80 on shocks straight away. The t-maxx is not a quality truck out of the box.

Biddy, unlike Maxx's Revos are pretty much tanks from the factory. ALOT of racers run pretty much stock 3.3 Revos.

hey man,
i posted in another thread what went wrong with my revo 3.3 when racing it around my track (no bashing). i blew the primary gear (first gear), the reverse gear, snapped two shock shafts, snapped the header pipe, blew a clutch spring, couldn't remove the rockers due to over tightening at the factory, ....but worst of all i don't like revos because of how the pushrod ball ends become sloppy quite quickly. which results in a loose suspension and sagging . this is just, IMO.

i know lots of people love revos, and thats their opinion, but i am steering clear of traxxas from now on. i will still run my t-maxx and revo, but once they are Irreparable..that will be it for me and traxxas.

I have one of the only ones made. They didn't go into production though because of cost.

ya thats what i heard price was too much to produce them.
and like jnev said i will for sure to gas to electric because of the quality its just i need to find the right one.

if i kept the t-maxx itd only be because i have a COMPLETELY upgradred one. i dont like how it drives at all. doesnt handle very well.

if i did a revo it would be cheaper cause i already have a nice roller and everything. i have ALOT of spare breaks too if i break anything.

so i dont know!!!!!!

im aiming towards a revo though since i have evertyhing, but after reading what paralyzed said the savage sounds awsome.

Im just curious why do people say you need to convert the LST with an E-MAXX transmission. My lst transmission is holding pretty well.

My first rc was a AE MGT and it seemed indestructible i swear i could throw it out of my pickup going down the interstate at 70 mph and it would survive. I amnot sure how hard it would be to convert to brushless but i know a lot of people who have had great success racing the mgt against the breakage prone traxxas vehicles.
