Yo dude, I just saw this.

I'm running a Lehner Basic XL 4200 w/ 2s on my crt.5 and 16/46 gearing.

If you go with a feigao/nemesis motor, look for a 540L with a Kv rating of 4000 or higher. I think that's a 6L. Lehner's are great but hard to find and three times the price.

There's two sides to every schwartz, he got the up side and I got the down side.

well i received the crt .5 today, pretty cool truck , any way i decided to try the novak motor, a little cogging ocasionally when off and back on throttle and sometimes when trying to go from a dead stop(very little) and i was geared 15/46(stock spur) and there was no heat at all after 10 hard minutes, so i am going up to a 16 tooth pinion and maybe more, but if i go to a 3s lipo will it get hot or just go faster ?? right now 20-25mph

anyway here it is thrown together quick for a test run and also pictured is the shop supervisor

this will get cleaned up and wires will be much shorter, i just had to drill one hole in the plexi for now and i can easily take it out and put it in the revo(the esc.)

temps were still great @ 18/46

anyone have a suggestion on how to get rid of the cogging i get when i start(only when i go full throttle)

i tried to adjust different things and didnt seem to help much

seems to be faster now though, it will wheelie and such, probably about 27-30 id guess, goes good though the front tires balloon like crazy

i think a 3s pack would be perfect

INFORMATION
Mega Car 10 PRO Replaces 9 turn brushed 550 motor.
Same physical dimensions of speed 550 motors.
25 mm mounting holes 3mm Screws
Shaft 1/8" Diameter = 3.175mm often called 3.2mm

The ACn10CarPRO is the same size as a 550 brushed car motor and can use the same pinion gear as an 9 turn 550. Neodymium magnets are used with a statically and dynamically balanced rotor for efficiency to 86% with 7 cells (7.2V). For 10th & 12th Scale cars & trucks. Works with Castle Creations Mamba Max ESC. Designed for high temperature operation with Integral internal cooling. Also works with Jeti Advanced Car/Race ESC and TMM8012-3 Car/Boat.

The number one cause of motor failure is using too long mounting screws!

Does anyone run one of the Quark motors? Visually speaking, they don't look like much, but that doesn't really mean anything.

Your best bet would be to run 3s and an L size motor with a kv of around 3000. The MM motors are too small IMO. An S motor would be better than a MM motor, but an L motor would be better. Unfortunately, Mike only has the 9L and that is out of stock. You could try to contact him for an equivalent motor choice. But, you defintely want an L size around 3000 kv on 3s.
