Need help makeing my mind up on Tires

Do find their rubber is a little soft? I ran a set on a 7700kv T3 basher on a lot of concrete and they seemed to wear quick. Maybe it was just me. I do like that you can get them preassembled.

I actually like the new Cheyenne beadlocks Proline just came out with better than the Maximizers.

Still need a nice running body and I guess shocks will be next :) After that I think I am OK until I Break something. I imagine that will be Diffs, dogbones ect...

With the Maximizers and badlands. How do people vent the tires. I have been told to put holes in the tires but wouldn't this increase the risk of the tires tearing

Cool, thanks mkrusedc, those 'Grip' truggy tires that GRP has look good, kinda like the bowtie. Have you tried the Bowtie as well AAngel, or anyone else, can you compare?

Kinda off topic, but has anyone tried the Vantage Racing carbon fiber 3.3 chassis? It look like it would shave a lot of weight off the truck, and looks gorgeous! Price is very decent as well!

EDIT: Another thing is the servo mounts are moved forward, like they should have been in the first place, which opens up ALOT of room for mounting stuff.

Not if done properly. If you simply take a leather punch and punch the holes then theres no way for it to rip.

Thanks squee. I tried punching bud didn't have much success so I just cut holes. I didn't like the tires so it didn't matter much. First run I tore a big hole in my tire. Funny thing way it had nothing to do with me cutting holes in the tire it was just bad luck. I'm still using those tires and they haven't torn from the holes I cut but I haven't been running them for that long. It's something that you have to consider though when buying maximizers that you have to punch hole in your tires.

+1 on the Losi Zombiemaxx

Had them on my Big Block Revo for a while. Hooked up great on every surface including the track.

Another great tire is the standard Maxx sized bowties. I raced and bashed with these tires on concrete for about 4 gallons and still have yet to wear the pins off!

Tim, I guess I will have to punch holes in the tires as I ordered the maximizers. I am not sure why you had a hard time. If you do not have a hole punch just drive a small nail in.

As I get ready to do the build. (The chassis is here FLM ext.) I starting thinking should I get SS hinge pins and SS screw set or is that just a un needed expense

Looks pretty good, should perform very well. Are you going to be running 6s2p pack? That might be a awesome fast setup on that amount of cells.
